The Hollywood Reporter brings news of filmmaker Oliver Stone‘s next project, which is the long-discussed, frequently delayed "Night Watchman." Based on an earlier screenplay by James Ellroy ("Dark Blue," "L.A. Confidential"), the story is about "a disgraced police officer who sets out to rid the police force of corruption."
Directors previously attached to the project include Spike Lee and David Fincher, but it looks to be Stone’s baby now. John Ridley ("U Turn," "Undercover Brother") is currently adapting the earlier screenplay, and when he’s done there are lots of contracts to be signed.
