New York Film Critics Circle 2017 Winners Announced: Lady Bird Named Best Film

The NYFCC announced the winners of their 2017 Awards this morning on Twitter.  Lady Bird was the winner of the Best Film category, while Sean Baker was named Best Director for his film, The Florida Project. The NYFCC Awards are chosen by a group of critics from daily newspapers, weekly newspapers, magazines, and qualifying online general-interest publications. Last year, La La Land won the award for Best Picture while Moonlight won for Best Director (Barry Jenkins).
