We have an exclusive clip for ya today from HBO’s forthcoming series "Unscripted," produced by Steven Soderbergh and George Clooney‘s Section Eight. You can dig on the clip by clicking the links provided below, but first, here’s a little background on the series…

"Unscripted" is a fictional half-hour, ten-episode series that shows what actors really go through to make it in Hollywood. The series stars Krista Allen, Bryan Greenberg, Jennifer Hall and Frank Langella. It’ll also feature cameo appearances by notable industry figures.

The series focuses on three people as they navigate the Hollywood maze, trying to succeed any way they can. The experiences they face are inspired by the actors’ own stories, as well as those of executive producers George Clooney and Grant Heslov and co-executive producer Matt Adler. While the series is mostly fictional, the dialogue is actually unscripted.

Langella plays acting teacher Goddard Fulton, whose class is attended by the main characters played by Allen, Greenberg and Hall. A tough, no-nonsense instructor, Fulton pushes them to improve their skills, while providing guidance, direction and life lessons along the way.

HBO tells us that cast members from "ER," "Life with Bonnie" and "The George Lopez Show" will make appearances in "Unscripted" when Greenberg and Hall’s characters land small roles on those shows.

"Unscripted" premieres on Sunday, January 9 at 10:00-11:00 p.m. ET/PT, exclusively on HBO.
