STEVE HARVEY TELLS MISS COLOMBIA, “I THANK YOU FOR FORGIVENESS, I REALLY, REALLY NEEDED THAT”
While TV personality Steve Harvey has been invited back to host the Miss Universe pageant again next year after mistakenly crowning Miss Colombia as the winner, the error has had him feeling guilty, knowing it may follow him through the rest of his career. But Miss Colombia, Ariadna Gutiérrez – now probably the most famous Miss Universe runner up — visited him on his talk show on Tuesday of this week to offer forgiveness, and of course a hard time. One clip from the show sees Harvey telling her, “I cast you into a spotlight, a place that I never intended to.” Gutierrez explained, “It was like a nightmare — watching the videos — I couldn’t believe that happened to me.” But then acknowledged, “I already moved on, this is our destiny, that’s why we are here.” She joked that she had been telling others of her affection for the host, but had second thoughts after the big mistake. Harvey thanked her for her forgiveness and they went on to discuss their favorite viral memes regarding the incident.
