Numerologists and Jim Carrey fans will be thrilled to hear that "The Number 23," set for release in February 2007, will be another dark, tunnel-like experience the only light at the end of which is the smiling face of Carrey himself, and possibly that of his leading lady, Virginia Madsen. It looks like this one’s gonna be another mind-bender.

Everyone remember "The Truman Show" and "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind"? In those flicks, our hero is a devastatingly humble everyman who comes across a deep and mysterious secret that will shatter his psyche, his relationships with everyone around him, and the world as he knows it. This time, Carrey adjusts his "Eternal Sunshine" hat for a psychodrama involving himself as a humble dogcatcher who stumbles upon a deep and mysterious secret that will shatter his psyche, his relationships, etc, but is it the world that will end, or Carrey?

Carrey tries to hold on to precious memories in "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind."

With another dose of Carrey-brand DIY existentialism, the film promises to be a sure-fire hit for anyone looking for a "Huh?" film, not to mention another notch on the star’s "serious cred" stick.. Along with Carrey and Madsen, the film features Logan Lerman and Danny Huston, and is directed by veteran action dude, Joel Schumacher. Click here to read the review on Ain’t it Cool News.
