Remember that great old Neil Simon comedy "The Heartbreak Kid"? The one with Charles Grodin and Cybill Shepherd in which in a newlywed groom falls in love with a new gal — while he’s still on his honeymoon? Well, get ready to rev up that remake machine, because we’re getting an all-new version from DreamWorks. "Arrested Development" star Jason Bateman and SNL funnylady Amy Poehler are on board for an all new "Kid," which is being adapted by screenwriters Leslie Dixon ("Mrs. Doubtfire") and Scot Armstrong ("Road Trip"). Barry Sonnenfeld ("Get Shorty") was originally set to direct the remake, but the gig has fallen to first-timer James Bobin (of "Da Ali G Show" fame.) Ms. Poehler is set to play the unlucky bride, which means that a mega-hot babe is bound to be cast in the Cybill Shepherd role.
