Last month, we discussed the news that Fox had fast-tracked its long-planned Dragon Ball live-action feature, and would be filming it in Montreal. Now, courtesy of CHUD, comes word that the production has found its director. And writer. (They’re the same guy.)

According to a scooper named Tailgunner Joe, the studio has tapped James Wong (Final Destination, The One) to write and direct the Dragon Ball adaptation, and production is scheduled to begin in November.

Also included in the scoop? A casting breakdown. Hardcore DB fans, here’s your chance to take an early look at what the studio might have up its sleeve for the film — and how well it jibes (or doesn’t) with the source material you know and love. Click away!
