James Purefoy Has "Vendetta"

James Purefoy will join Natalie Portman in the big screen adaptation of Alan Moore’s comic book, "V for Vendetta," according to the Hollywood Reporter. Purefoy will play the title character, V, a freedom fighter who is trying to oust the repressive government in Great Britain in an alternate reality. A woman (Portman) he rescued from the secret police becomes his co-conspirator. James McTeigue will direct from a script by Andy and Larry Wachowski.
