Screenwriter John Rogers ("The Core," "Catwoman") reveals how he got the envious job of writing the script for the upcoming "Transformers" movie in an IGNFF interview. Maybe Steven Spielberg saw something in "The Core" and "Catwoman" that we didn’t.
"The Transformers" is a popular ’80s TV cartoon serial about robots from a faraway planet who fall into two groups: the saintly Autobots and the just plain evil Decepticons. Their endless war takes them to Earth, where they assume the forms of ordinary vehicles such as cars and planes. The movie is scheduled for release in summer 2006 according to IGNFF.
