"Ice Age 2" Enlists a Queen and a Mafia Princess

Reliable movie news site Latino Review had a chat with actor John Leguizamo, and he divulged a few casting tidbits regarding next year’s "Ice Age 2: The Meltdown." Seems that both Queen Latifah ("Taxi") and Drea de Matteo ("The Sopranos") are on board the CGI sequel.

Said Mr. Leguizamo, "I’m not allowed to divulge a lot but I do sing in it. I still play the sloth, and Drea de Matteo plays my girlfriend in it and Queen Latifah plays Ray Romano’s girlfriend …she’s a mammoth and Drea is a sloth." But don’t tell the kiddies about the follow-up just yet; the "Ice Age" sequel doesn’t hit theaters until March 31st, 2006.
