Remakes are old news. All the cool kids are making remake sequels now. Next March you’ll be able to sit down and enjoy "The Hills Have Eyes 2" — as if there had never actually been a "Hills Have Eyes Part 2"! The two French guys who helmed the remake are nowhere to be found, but Wes Craven‘s still on board as a producer/screenwriter.
From JoBlo: "SYNOPSIS: A team of National Guard cadets stops over at a desert outpost to deliver equipment to some military scientists. They arrive at the research camp to find it mysteriously deserted. Hearing a distress call on their walkies, they set off on what they think is a simple rescue mission into the hills – only to find a tribe of mutants, damaged by nuclear testing, who lie in wait for them."
There’s also a little casting news and some character descriptions, so check it out right here. Between this and the already-in-production "Wrong Turn 2," Fox looks to have a 2007 full of nasty cannibals.
