People’s Choice Awards
2009 red carpet

This is called the People’s Choice Awards? Yet, there’s nothing nominated
here released after August, meaning Avatar is conspicuously missing.
The 2nd-highest grossing movie of all time and it’s not listed for a
ceremony designed to appease the masses? Somebody’s assistant’s intern got
REAL lazy. At least a lot of purty celebrities showed up.

She’s Out of My League

It seems like America has largely run out of goodwill for Judd Apatow
productions, and, if they’re not careful, the same will happen for his
troupe of actors. Jay Baruchel, star of post-Freaks and Geeks TV show
Undeclared, has been scene-stealing and toiling in secondary roles for
years, and 2010 aims to be his breakout year. That is, IF his movies are
good. He has the lead voice in How To Train Your Dragon, plays
sidekick to Nic Cage in The Sorcerer’s Apprentice, and enters full-on
lead man role with She’s Out of My League.
