Fox & Uni Win the "Halo" War

Earlier this week, we reported that a team of "Halo" soldiers invaded the various movie studios, each one brandishing Alex Garland‘s screenplay. And now comes word from The Hollywood Reporter that Fox and Universal have decided to split the expenses and produce the adaptation together. Universal gets to release the eventual "Halo" flick in North America, while Fox will sell it overseas. No word yet on whether or not Fox & Uni ponied up the $10 million requested price tag for the property … but I wouldn’t bet on it.

Now begins the always-entertaining game of: Who Should Direct?
