Filmjerk Report: Paris Hilton, Charlize Theron & The Rock

by | September 13, 2005 | Comments

Filmjerk’s weekly Early Report chimes in with a few new release date changes, MPAA ratings, and general movie minutiae, the funniest of which is the news that Paris Hilton’s "Pledge This!" has been "indefinitely delayed." Try to stifle your chuckles, movie fans.

"National Lampoon’s Pledge This!" (Freestyle Releasing): After all the drama about this Paris Hilton movie scheduling itself against the Nicole Richie movie "Kids in America" on November 4 (which has since moved to late October), this film has been indefinitely delayed. Guess those last moment re-shoots didn’t help matters any.

"The World’s Fastest Indian" (Magnolia Films): Acquired before its world premiere this weekend at the Toronto Film Festival, Roger Donaldson’s drama starring Anthony Hopkins will open in Los Angeles on December 9 for an Oscar qualifying run before opening in the top twenty markets on January 27th.

"North Country" (Warner Brothers): The Charlize Theron legal drama has been pushed back one week, from October 14 to October 21.

"Gridiron Gang" (Columbia Pictures): After being set last week for release on September 22, 2006, this drama featuring The Rock has been bumped up a week, to September 15, 2006."
