Leonardo DiCaprio was awarded the Santa Barbara International Film Festival’s Platinum Award for lifetime achievement at the tender age of 30, the Associated Press reports. DiCaprio, who is up for a best actor Oscar for "The Aviator," was presented the award by Martin Scorsese, the director of "The Aviator" and the forthcoming "The Departed," which will star DiCaprio and Matt Damon. The Award was created to mark the Santa Barbara festival’s 20th anniversary.
