Now, here’s day two’s notables and quotables so far:

  • BACKPEDAL, DARK KNIGHT SEQUEL: As you probably suspected, Gary Oldman jumped the gun when he said the next Batman was filming next year. As Oldman just told AICN: “Well, I’m sure they want to do another one. It might be two or three years.” (7:03 pm)
  • NEWS, TOY STORY 3: Long rumored, Michael Keaton has now been confirmed to be playing Ken (opposite Barbie) in Toy Story 3. (6:26 pm)
  • NEWS, A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET: There will NOT be a Robert Englund cameo in the remake. (6:25 pm)
  • CLIPS, TRON LEGACY: TRON Legacy‘s been a long time coming in a lot of ways. One of them: the stunning test footage that brought the house down at last year’s Comic-Con is only NOW only being released in non-lo res, shaky cam form. Check it out! Still awesome! (6:24 pm)
  • PANELS, DISNEY ANIMATION: Toy Story trilogy! Ponyo! Princess and the Frog! 3D Beauty and the Beast! The Disney animation panel is going on right now and Latino Review is liveblogging it. (4:34 pm)
  • QUOTES, RICHARD KELLY: Speaking to Jen, Richard Kelly mentioned he’d like to revisit Southland Tales, finish up some CG shots, add 15 minutes, and start up the ST media empire again (graphic novels, etc). We’ll have the full Kelly interview later today. (4:33 pm)
  • TRAILER, HOT TUB TIME MACHINE: Good times ahead: watch the trailer to Hot Tub Time Machine! (4:31 pm)
  • CLIPS, WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE: Couldn’t make it to the Con but desperately want to see something from Spike Jonze’s Where the Wild Things Are? The featurette they showed at the panel is online now! (3:24 pm)
  • TEXT, A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET: A description of The Nightmare on Elm Street footage. (3:12 pm)
  • QUOTES, DARK KNIGHT SEQUEL: During the Book of Eli presentation, Gary Oldman said this about the next Batman movie: “The next Batman is next year, so I think it is two years away. But you didn’t hear it from me.” (2:29 pm)
  • NEWS, HALO: Neill Blomkamp teabags the corpse of the Halo project. (2:11 pm)
  • POSTERS, JONAH HEX: The poster for Jonah Hex, starring Josh Brolin and Megan Fox, is out. Find it here. (2:05 pm)
  • NEWS, SAW VII: In case you were torturing yourself wondering whether the series would continue on into the new decade, yes, there will be a Saw VII. (2:04 pm)
  • POSTERS, THE CABIN IN THE WOODS: Three teaser posters are out for The Cabin in the Woods, a tongue-in-cheek horror flick from Joss Whedon and Drew Goddard.(2:01 pm)
  • NEWS, WANTED 2: Wanted 2 will begin shooting in eight weeks. James McAvoy and director Timur Bekmambetov will return. (1:59 pm)
  • TRAILERS, THE BOOK OF ELI: The Hughes brothers firs movie in nearly a decade is a post-apocalyptic epic called The Book of Eli, starring Denzel Washington. Apple’s got the first trailer. (1:58 pm)
  • VIRAL, TRON LEGACY: Disney recreated Flynn’s Arcade in promotion of TRON Legacy!! Check out some on the floor videos. (1:55 pm)
  • TRAILERS, PANDORUM: Deep space horror returns! Watch the Pandorum trailer here. (1:54 pm)
