Toy Story 4 is now out in theaters, and there’s no doubt it’s super Fresh – Certified Fresh, in fact, at 98% on the Tomatometer. That’s on par for now with Toy Story 3, and just below the first two Toy Story movies, which are both at 100%. But the big question everyone is asking is: Tomatometer aside, is it the best entry in the series so far? Or maybe the worst? Or maybe somewhere in between? We decided to dive deep into the franchise and debate the new film’s merits and how it stacks up against its predecessors in a special episode of the spoiler-filled Rotten Tomatoes Aftershow. Host Mark Ellis is joined by Scott Mantz and Rotten Tomatoes’ own Jacqueline Coley and Alex Vo for the lively discussion that also covers who the best new characters are (Forky? Ducky? Bunny?), whether the movie will indeed be the last (doubtful), and whether the movie really needed to exist in the first place?
