After surviving a fairly tumultuous slump (which included "Daredevil," "Gigli," JLo, "Paycheck," "Jersey Girl" & "Surviving Christmas"), actor / screenwriter Ben Affleck aims to take his first turn in the director’s chair. Mr. Affleck will be directing an adaptation of Dennis Lehane’s "Gone, Baby, Gone," which is a drama about "a pair of private detectives in a working-class Boston neighborhood who are hired to search for a kidnapped 4-year-old girl." Lehane’s last novel, "Mystic River," got turned into a rock-solid flick, so let’s keep our fingers crossed for first-time director Ben Affleck…and no, Ben will not be appearing in his directorial debut.
