A Second "Day" With the Always-Hungry "Dead"

It happened at "Night," and it happened again during "Dawn," so is anyone out there actually surprised that George Romero‘s "Day of the Dead" is about to go through the remake machine? According to Variety, it’s going to happen sooner than later. Millennium Films, along with Taurus Entertainment, will be bringing an all-new "Day of the Dead" to the big screen.

The third chapter in Romero’s zombie saga detailed the stress levels of a few remaining soldiers and citizens who hole up in a military bunker after the planet is overrun by the ravenous undead. The original "Night of the Living Dead" was remade by splat-master Tom Savini in 1990, while "Dawn of the Dead" earned a rather profitable remake in 2004. And, of course, Mr. Romero also has his fourth zombie tale, "Land of the Dead," ready for a June 24th release.
