Welcome to What’s On Tonight, RT’s compendium of the primetime shows that are worth your time. This evening’s slate includes new shows (The Crazy Ones, The Millers) and a bunch of returning favorites (Two and a Half Men, Grey’s Anatomy). So grab your remote, find your favorite spot on the couch, and tune in for lots of television goodness!

Premiering Tonight:

Elementary: Season 2

This modern take on Sherlock Holmes (Jonny Lee Miller) and Dr. Watson (Lucy Liu) returns for Season 2, as the pair help solve a mystery in London and Sherlock’s brother Mycroft makes his first appearance.

Glee: Season 5

The New Directions gang takes on the Beatles in Glee‘s Season 5 premiere, as Rachel (Lea Michele) continues to pursue her Broadway dreams.

Grey’s Anatomy: Season 10

The long-running medical drama begins its tenth season with a tragic mudslide that floods the ER with patients, while Meredith, Callie, and Richard navigate their own personal dilemmas.

Parenthood: Season 5

Its first season got mixed reviews, but it’s been all uphill for Parenthood ever since. The season five premiere finds the main characters in transition, with babies, relationship troubles, and plenty grist for this intelligently written mill.

Parks and Recreation: Season 6

In a two-part season premiere, Amy Poehler’s plucky city representative Leslie Knope tavels to London with some of her staff to accept an award.

The Big Bang Theory: Season 7

Sheldon (repeat Emmy-winner Jim Parsons) and Penny (Kaley Cuoco) spend some alone time together in the Season 7 premiere, while Raj (Kunal Nayyar) and Howard (Simon Helberg) bond after Raj’s recent breakup.

The Crazy Ones: Season 1

The critics say Robin Williams’ comic dexterity helps to carry The Crazy Ones, a workplace sitcom that scores a few laughs but sometimes feels too improvised to fully cohere

The Michael J. Fox Show: Season 1

The pundits say The Michael J. Fox Show benefits immeasurably from the warm, easy charisma of its star, who keeps things watchable even when the writing is uneven.

The Millers: Season 1

Will Arnett, Beau Bridges, and Margo Martindale star in this sitcom about a divorced writer dealing with the disintegration of his parents’ marriage; critics say the cast is game but the setup is pretty standard.

Two and a Half Men: Season 11

The astonishingly resilient standard bearer for three camera sitcoms is back, but this time there’s a girl occupying the “half men” part of the equation, with Amber Tamblyn joining the cast as Charlie Harper’s hard-partying daughter.

New Episodes Tonight:

Anger Management: Season 2

The reviews for the first season of Anger Management didn’t exactly set the world on fire, but it was popular enough to get renewed for 90 more episodes, so here we are.
