At this point it feels like Rob Zombie is doing a remake of "It’s a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World" instead of a "Halloween" reboot. We have some more casting news for the flick, which seems to be employing at least half the actors in Hollywood.
According to Movieweb, the newest actors to join the "Halloween" party are Richmond Arquette, Tom Towles, Daryl Sabara, and Hanna Hall. They’ll be joining a mega-swollen cast that includes names like Malcolm McDowell, Danielle Harris, Dee Wallace-Stone, Tyler Mane, Ken Foree, Sheri Moon-Zombie, William Forsythe, Danny Trejo, Clint Howard, Adrienne Barbeau, Brad Dourif, and Udo Kier. (What, no Bruce Campbell??)
We’re still waiting to see if this new flick is more a remake, a sequel, or a relatively fresh approach that’s just using the "Halloween" name because it guarantees a solid box office return. Mr. Zombie’s "Halloween" upgrade is scheduled to open on August 31st, which will enable the DVD to hit your fists by, yup, Halloween night.
