  • Sir Baronish

Wow. Nominated four episodes of “The Simpsons” that nobody watches, and not one episode of “South Park” gets recognition?

    • Vits/Vicente Torres

Weird. Specially considering that this was SOUTH PARK’s most ambitious season (in terms of writing) to date.

      • Sir Baronish

        Agreed.

  • Jared

Great to see another nomination for Sicario, but why was Trumbo nominated? I know that Room and Brooklyn weren’t eligible, but they could have at least picked a movie that actually has a decent script

    • Vits/Vicente Torres

      Such as…?

      • Jared

Anomalisa, The Revenant, Me Earl and The Dying Girl, Beasts of No Nation,The End of the Tour, Creed not sure if any were eligible. Other than trumbo, I thought the adapted category was really strong.

        • Vits/Vicente Torres

ANOMALISA wasn’t elegible. I don’t know about the others. So far, I haven’t seen THE REVENANT or CREED getting many (or any) Best Screenplay nominations. I’ve only seen THE END OF THE TOUR in awards for independent movies.

          • Jared

Yeah but all of them have better screenplays than trumbo

  • Lauti Fuentes

Me, Eearl and the Dying Girl has better screenplay than Trumbo. And Ex-Machina and Inside Out should have been nominated too.

    • Jared

Agreed about Me Earl and the Dying Girl being better than Trumbo. As for Ex Machina and Inside Out, I don’t think they were eligible for nominations due to certain guild rules, still great films though

  • archierouge

Flesh and Bone? You have got to be kidding me. What a joke. But leaving out American Crime?

  • Ricardo

“Trainwreck”? I mean, come on. It has some good moments, but its as formulaic as it gets.
