In
National Treasure,
Jon Voight
played the father skeptical of his son’s crazy historical adventures. Now that
he’s part of the team in

National Treasure: Book of Secrets
, he’ll have all new family issues.

"It’s a different take on it
but I still have dilemma," said Voight. "I have a problem because I have a wife
that I haven’t seen for 32 years. I don’t want to see her now. That’s my dilemma
and I have to face her after all these years. She’s played by the great
Helen Mirren."

This gives Voight’s character
a more central role in the sequel. "I have a little more to do, yeah. I think a
little more this time."

Voight’s in for some big
action too. Near the end of the shoot, the biggest sequence was looming. "We’re
coming to the last sequences which is this huge sequence on a big set we’re
working at Universal. I think it’s going to be terrific."

National Treasure: Book of Secrets
will emerge in theaters December 21.
