After four seasons, Game of Thrones fans are used to the idea that the most exciting episode of the year is typically the penultimate one. But Thrones showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss are teasing this Sunday’s “The Children” as “the best finale we’ve ever done, bar none,” according to a statement to Entertainment Weekly. “The performances from our cast, the direction from Alex Graves, the VFX work, the new [music] cues from Ramin Djawadi — all of it came together in perhaps the finest hour we’ve produced.
