Silver Linings Playbook and Moonrise Kingdom lead Spirit Award nominations
On November 27th, Film Independent revealed the 2013 nominees for the Spirit Awards. David O. Russell’s Silver Linings Playbook and Wes Anderson’s Moonrise Kingdom each earned five nominations, including Best Feature, Director and Screenplay. Winners will be announced on the day before the Oscars. The ceremony, to be hosted by Andy Samberg, will be broadcast later that evening at 10:00 pm ET/PT on IFC. The Spirt Awards celebrates artist-driven filmmaking and recognizes the finest achievements of today’s independent filmmakers.
