Seann William Scott will produce and star in "The Optimist" for New Line Cinema, Variety reports. The script, which will be written by Bill Oakley and Josh Weinstein, involves a man who is genetically predisposed to unhappiness. Scott is currently working on the big-screen adaptation of "The Dukes of Hazzard" with Johnny Knoxville and Jessica Simpson.
