In Sunday night’s milestone 550th episode of The Simpsons, Springfield gets a Legoland makeover.
“Brick Like Me,” dubbed “The Simpsons’ Lego Spectacular,” is two years in the making and will re-imagine Homer, Marge, and all the rest as CGI cylinder-heads. Take a look:
The episode will be especially family-friendly, which is good news for young fans of last year’s Lego Movie — although the movie, and also the recently released Simpsons Lego play set, were not behind the idea. It was just “the love of Lego,” Simpsons executive producer Al Jean said in a press teleconference earlier this week.
The Simpsons is now in its 25th season on FOX.
