The 5 Most Anticipated TV Shows of June

This month's top picks include vampires, dragons, spies, and more.

TAGGED AS: ,

Once again, the offerings on TV and streaming are almost as stacked as the big summer movies you’ll get in theaters this month, with returning series like House of the Dragon, Avatar: The Last Airbender, and Sugar, as well as the newly renamed Interview with the Vampire series The Vampire Lestat and the final season of The Bear, among many others.

With that in mind, we gathered a list of the most noteworthy shows either debuting or returning in June and asked which ones you’re most looking forward to. Read on for the 5 Most Anticipated TV or Streaming Shows of June.

1. The Vampire Lestat

Premiere Date: June 7, 2026 on AMC

Coming in waaaay ahead of the pack is the third season of AMC’s adaptation of Interview with the Vampire — or, if you like, the first season of The Vampire Lestat. Based on the second book of Anne Rice’s series, the season takes place after journalist Daniel Molloy (Eric Bogosian) has published his book, and Lestat (Sam Reid) embraces his celebrity status to correct what he perceives to be a misrepresentation of his character.

2. House of the Dragon: Season 3

Premiere Date: June 21, 2026 on HBO

For any Game of Thrones fans who thought A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms wasn’t quite dark or bloody enough for their taste, House of the Dragon returns for its third season. This season, we can expect all the political posturing of the first two seasons to give way to outright war, and it promises to be glorious.

3. The Bear: Season 5

Premiere Date: June 25, 2026 on FX on Hulu

After four seasons and a mountain of awards, The Bear is finally coming to an end, so be prepared to say goodbye to Carmy, Sydney, Richie, Sugar, and the rest. We won’t spoil anything for those who haven’t seen the show yet, but season 4 (whose finale many thought felt like a fitting series finale) ended on something of a cliffhanger, so fans will be eager to find out what happens next.

4. Cape Fear

Premiere Date: June 5, 2026 on Apple TV

John D. MacDonald’s 1957 novel The Executioners has been adapted into films twice, both titled Cape Fear, and both featuring menacing performances by acclaimed actors (Robert Mitchum in 1962, Robert De Niro in 1991). Apple TV has decided to give Cape Fear another go, this time as a limited series, and considering their TV track record, as well as the all-star cast (Amy Adams, Javier Bardem, Patrick Wilson), there’s good reason to think this is going to be a fantastic watch.

5. The Agency: Season 2

Premiere Date: June 21, 2026 on Paramount+

Speaking of all-star casts, Paramount+’s The Agency is as stacked as they come. Michael Fassbender stars as a CIA officer who is ordered to end his undercover assignment and return to London, leaving behind the woman he fell in love with under his assumed identity. Fassbender’s co-stars include Jeffrey Wright, Jodie Turner-Smith, Katherine Waterston, John Magaro, and Richard Gere, among others, and season 2 is likely to be as gripping as the first.
