If your movie already has Adam Sandler marrying Kevin James, and a side order of Jessica Biel for desert, what more do you need to make a comedy? Oh yeah: Steve Buscemi and Dan Aykroyd.
From The Hollywood Reporter: "Steve Buscemi and Dan Aykroyd have joined the cast of Universal’s "I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry." Adam Sandler, Kevin James and Jessica Biel already are on board the comedy, which is being directed by Dennis Dugan. "Chuck" revolves around two heterosexual firefighters (Sandler and James) who pose as a gay married couple in order to qualify for their department’s domestic-partner benefits. Buscemi will play a city official who is dispatched to keep a close eye on Chuck and Larry and is hell bent on revealing their deceiving plan of cheating the system. Aykroyd will play the fire department captain."
"Chuck and Larry" sounds pretty broad and silly, but wait: It was written by Jim Taylor and Alexander Payne, the guys who did "Sideways," "About Schmidt," "Citizen Ruth," and the awesome "Election."
