The cast of George Miller‘s Justice League of America is expected to be announced next week — but why wait for official news when you can have the rumors right now?
IGN Movies reports that both Ain’t It Cool News and IESB have confirmed the involvement of Adam Brody, Common, Teresa Palmer, and Scott Porter, all of whom were previously rumored to be up for roles in JLA. From the article:
Brody is said to be playing Wally West, a.k.a. The Flash, opposite Common as John Stewart, the Green Lantern.
IESB says that, contrary to earlier reports, Palmer is not going to play Wonder Woman but rather one of the film’s villains, Talia Al Ghul. Talia is the daughter of Ra’s Al Ghul, portrayed by Liam Neeson in Batman Begins.
AICN claims Porter might be playing Superman, but IESB counters by saying, “our sources are telling us that he was up for the role of The Flash against Adam Brody and obviously Brody won out, we’ve heard nothing about him being cast as Superman.”
IGN also notes that AICN is reporting that Michael Gough — the actor who portrayed Bruce Wayne’s butler, Alfred, in the Batman films directed by Tim Burton and Joel Schumacher — might be reprising his role for JLA. Ah, there’s that nod to tradition that fans have been clamoring for.
