"Indy 4" Bits: Reports from New Haven and a Casting Call!

Excitement is building in and around New Haven, Connecticut, which is where Steven Spielberg and company will soon be setting up to do some "Indiana Jones 4" shooting.

Before we start in New Haven, I have some good news for the Lego fans out there: According to Cool Toy Review, Lego has signed a deal to produce "Indiana Jones" toys. (Which means a Lego Indy Video Game can’t be far behind. The "Star Wars" ones were really fun.)

Next, SpielbergFilms.com informs us of an open casting call that reads like this:

Quote:

The production is holding an open casting call for extras to appear in a sequence where Indy tears through campus on a motorcycle (along Chapel Street in New Haven). The call, organized by Billy Dowd Casting, will be held on Monday, June 11 and Tuesday, June 12 at the Omni Hotel at Yale between 1 p.m.-9 p.m. both days.

You must be 18 years or older, and you must bring a headshot with you to the casting call. (Photos will not be returned, so make sure that it’s not your only copy.) Filming of the New Haven sequence will take place between June 28 and July 7.

Lastly, it looks like local paper New Haven Register is working overtime on their "Indy Arrival" stories. Here’s one on why both "Indiana Jones 4" and the Al Pacino / Robert De Niro thriller "Righteous Kill" are shooting nearby. And here’s another one on … kinda the same thing. Still, if it’s "IJ4"-related, we’re posting it.
