You knew it was only a matter of time before Rowan Atkinson came back with another "Mr. Bean" movie. (Anyone out there see Johnny English? Sheesh.) And today Variety reports that a production date is set for Bean 2, which will be distributed stateside by Universal Pictures. (Did you know that the first Bean made over $230 million worldwide? Strange but true.)
From Variety: "Steve Bendelack, who made his feature directing debut with last year’s TV spinoff "The League of Gentlemen’s Apocalypse," will direct "Bean II" for Working Title Films.
Sequel to the 1997 hit "Bean: The Ultimate Disaster Movie" will once again star Rowan Atkinson. It starts shooting May 15.
