As you’ve already heard by now, Disney bought Pixar for about $7.5 billion a few days ago, and now comes word that the first new move … is to scrap the "Toy Story 3" project — at least for now.
From the AP Wire comes the new tidbit: "One immediate sign of Lasseter’s influence is that plans for Disney to make the long rumored sequel "Toy Story 3" on its own have been scrapped. If the film is made, it will be done by Lasseter and the other creators of the original film, the companies said."

Seems like the old Pixar gang didn’t take too well to the idea of Disney’s TS3 announcement, which might just have been a bargaining move, anyway.
