"Deep Throat," the 1972 film that brought porn mainstream, will likely be reissued into theaters, Variety reports. Arrow Productions, the owner of the film’s copyright, is remastering prints of the film, responding to exhibitor interest with the release of "Inside Deep Throat," a documentary about the film and its impact on early 1970s pop culture. The film will not be distributed by Universal, which is releasing the documentary.
