After five grueling rounds of competition that laid waste to holiday classics like It’s a Wonderful Life, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, A Charlie Brown Christmas, and even the perennial is-it-a-Christmas-movie-or-not fan favorite Die Hard, we can finally crown a winner for our Christmas Movie Showdown. In the end, the Jon Favreau/Will Ferrell comedy Elf lost by a convincing 20% margin to Home Alone, which, incidentally, also celebrated its 30th anniversary back in November. To go with that milestone, we can now unofficially officially declare that Home Alone is the Greatest Christmas Movie Ever!

As always, big thanks to everyone who participated in the various polls, and we hope this bit of silly fun helped in some way to brighten what is certainly an unusual holiday season for most. With that in mind, please stay safe and warm as we enter the new year, and stay tuned for our next showdown!
