Amazon is getting into the online DVD game in the U.K., which could be a dry run for an American version, the Los Angeles Times reports. The online retailer is joining Netflix, Wal-Mart and Blockbuster in the subscription-based DVD rental game, which has grown in popularity because of large online catalogues of films and no late charges. While there are several online DVD rental services in Britain, Amazon has a greater name-recognition and online reach.
