In this exclusive video from Comic-Con, Rotten Tomatoes’ Grae Drake interviews Pedro Pascal, John Bradley, Rose Leslie, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, and Kit Harington about their Game of Thrones characters.
First, Bradley explained why his character Sam Tarly appeals more to women than men.
“I think that men, by and large, want different things from fictional characters,” Bradley said. “I think that men like to see men on screen that are either stable characters — as in characters that don’t show any emotion, they’re completely poker-faced, they’re deadly… or they like to see absolute maniacs.”
Next up, Kit Harington said that he would have trouble taking Jon Snow’s oath of celibacy — though he would do it under the right circumstances.
“If I lived in Westeros, and I was born into Jon’s situation, then, yes, I would have taken that choice as well,” Harington explained. “I would have gone to the Night’s Watch instead of staying at Winterfell, so I would’ve done what he would do in that situation, but in my life? Not a chance.”
Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime Lannister), Pedro Pascal (Prince Oberyn Martell), and Rose Leslie (Ygritte) all spoke about meeting their cosplay counterparts at Comic-Con — and Coster-Waldau had an extra-special meet’n’greet with his “son” at a convention in Australia following the Purple Wedding.
