See a first look at Galavant, ABC’s four-week musical comedy event, starting January 4 at 8 pm. “It’s like Monty Python and The Princess Bride had a baby,” said star Mallory Jansen.
In Galavant, the classic fairy tale is turned on its head when the valiant and dashing Sir Galavant (Joshua Sasse) is rejected by his one true love, Madalena (Jansen), who chooses to marry the evil King Richard (Timothy Omundson) instead. And, of course, they’re all singing!
Galavant is written by Dan Fogelman (The Neighbors) with music by Alan Menken (Aladdin) and lyrics by Glenn Slater (The Little Mermaid). Will you be watching (and dancing)?
