Work has begun on the Steven Spielberg-Tom Cruise update of H.G. Wells’ "War of the Worlds." According to Dark Horizons, it is unclear whether the director and star were on site for the first days of shooting in Athens, NY. Some of the footage that has been shot will be retouched using CGI effects later. Dark Horizons has also posted some photos from the production.
