Robert Redford will star opposite Tom Cruise and Meryl Streep in "Lions for Lambs," a three-story terrorist drama that the Sundance Kid will helm himself. It should be ready by the end of the year, actually.
November 9th is when the "Lions" arrive. Also on board are Peter Berg, Michael Pena, Derek Luke and Andrew Garfield. The screenplay was written by Matthew Carnahan, whom I’m pretty sure is the brother of director Joe Carnahan. Either way, this flick’s got one helluva cast (and premise). All we know about the plot is that it weaves three stories together, all of which center on America’s war on terrorism.
Sounds like Oscar bait to me.
