Posey Wants One More "Superman" Moment

The end of "Superman Returns" left Lex Luthor and Kitty Koslowski stranded on a desert island in the middle of nowhere. Though plans for sequel "Superman:The Man of Steel" suggest Superman will battle new villains, Parker Posey hopes they make at least one reference to her character.

"I would love to be there if only briefly," she said. But this is just wishful thinking. "I don’t think so. I don’t know though. I haven’t heard. I don’t think so."

Posey has had bad experiences accepting supporting roles before, so this is high praise that she wants to reprise Kitty even for a cameo. "I like carrying movies. I think it’s much harder to do a little part than it is to do a really big part. I like to feel utilized. I don’t want to feel like just some person used for some plot thing. It’s not as much fun. Sometimes in movies like that, even if you want to be a full character, they’re like, ‘What is she doing? Don’t do that.’"

That was not the case with Bryan Singer. "No, in Superman, not at all. I enjoyed Superman a lot."

"Superman: The Man of Steel" (AKA "The Superman Returns Sequel") has a tentative release date of June 2009.
