We received TONS of great moustache submissions for our Little Ashes poster giveaway contest, but now the time has finally come to reveal which of our great readers made the final cut (and which lucky two finalists won our random drawing to win one signed Little Ashes poster each)! Take a peek inside to see the twenty most creative, most entertaining, and most impressive moustache submissions that we received (and tell us which ones you like the most) and give a hearty congratulations to our winners!
In Little Ashes, Robert Pattinson (Twilight) gives a daring performance as the young art student Salvador Dali, who arrives at Spain’s School of Fine Arts and befriends fellow up-and-comers Luis Bunuel (Matthew McNulty) and the poet Federico Garcia Lorca (Javier Beltran), with whom Dali has an unusual and tumultuous love affair. As Dali the student grows apart from Lorca and strikes out to seize his own destiny, he grows the famous long and pointy moustache that Dali the artist would become known for — one that he wore at times twisted up, pointed out, and even adorned with tiny flowers.
In celebration of Little Ashes‘ theatrical debut last week, Rotten Tomatoes invited all of our readers to catch the Dali spirit and submit their best photographed, drawn, or Photoshopped moustache self portraits. After a harrowing selection process, our editors narrowed down their favorites to a pool of twenty finalists; see who made the cut! (Our two grand prize winners, selected at random from the pool of finalists, will each receive a Little Ashes poster signed by star Robert Pattinson, courtesy of Regent Releasing.)
