"Indy 4" to Be Light on CGI?

Man, those New Haven newspapers are having a ball with the "Indiana Jones 4" production in town. Too bad it’s almost over…

In a recent interview with producer Frank Marshall, we learned that "Indy 4" might not be very reliant on CGI magic. Here’s what Mr. Marshall had to say:

"Steven (Spielberg) is very aware of the process and we’re not cheating with CG (computer graphics) at all," Marshall said. "It keeps the B movie feel."

Whether the producer was referring to the New Haven chase specifically — or the movie as a whole — remains to be seen. Frankly I think it’d be a refreshing change of pace to see a summertime movie that’s not completely bathed in CGI stuff.

By the way, the "Indy 4" crew is now finished in New Haven. Next stop: Hawaii!
