Trying something a little different this year with the Sundance
galleries. A little less emphasis on celebrities and a lot more visual
impact, even if the subject is a nobody. Figure that the average guy or gal
who’s interested in Sundance pictures doesn’t care too much about candid
shots of Malin Ackerman sipping coffee.

Decreasing box office and critical standing lands M. Night Shyamalan his
biggest directing gig yet? Shyamalan’s recent work has been getting stalled
in overwrought tedium, though a lot of that does stem from the fact that his
screenplays have been increasingly getting stuck up their own ass. With
another writer and a decent teaser already behind it, this could the year
