Fox Wants to Tell You a "Tokyo Ghost Story"

No, it’s not another remake of another Asian horror flick — it just sounds that way. Fox has purchased "Tokyo Ghost Story" from screenwriters Chuck Konzelman & Cary Solomon ("Earth vs. the Spider"). Based on an ancient Japanese myth, the story’s about "a Yurei, or the ghost of a jilted lover who commits suicide but returns to lead the offending lover to destruction and/or death."

This is a freshly inked deal, so no word on cast or director just yet. But I’m betting it’ll be laden with under-25-year-olds and will be directed by a first-timer who’s also a veteran of the music video scene.
