Can somebody explain me Why Spotlight is so Original?…

    • Danny

Original screenplay means a screenplay not based on already-published-media (novel, play, short story, TV show or another film). The story doesn’t need to be original. You should distinguish screenplay and story. Film awards in old days used to have best story category along with best screenplay category. But the stories in films gradually become unoriginal so the category best story was removed.
