Comic-Con: 16 TV Trailers You Need to Check Out Right Now


Did you miss San Diego’s Comic-Con International this year? Don’t worry — most people who went to San Diego last week probably missed Comic-Con too. Fortunately, we’ve compiled all of the coolest TV trailers to come out of the Con since Thursday (not to mention the best cosplay pictures) in one place for you to watch right now!


Ash Vs. Evil Dead

Over 30 years ago, Ash Williams (Bruce Campbell) was able to escape the horrors of The Evil Dead (and its subsequent franchise), but America’s favorite chainsawed-hand hero will be back on Halloween in Ash vs. Evil Dead, a new scary comedy from Starz.


The Bastard Executioner

From Kurt Sutter (Sons of Anarchy), The Bastard Executioner travels back to 13th-century England where a reluctant warrior knight in King Edward I’s army is forced to take the position of court executioner. The series, premiering on FX this fall, stars newcomer Lee Jones, along with Stephen Moyer (True Blood) and Sutter’s wife, Katey Sagal (Sons of Anarchy).


Childhood’s End

Charles Dance (Game of Thrones) stars as Karellen, the Supervisor for Earth, in SyFy’s upcoming dystopian thriller based on Arthur C. Clarke’s 1963 novel about a (seemingly) peaceful alien invasion. The three-night event series airs in December.


Colony

Coming to USA Network this fall from executive producer Carlton Cuse (Lost, The Strain) is Colony, about a family trying to survive in occupied Los Angeles in the not-so-distant future. Colony stars Josh Holloway (Lost) as former FBI agent Will Bowman and Sarah Wayne Callies (The Walking Dead) as his wife, Katie.


Con Man

Firefly stars Alan Tudyk and Nathan Fillion reunite in Con Man, a comedy written by Tudyk about an actor who once starred on a prematurely cancelled sci-fi series called Spectrum and now finds his career reduced to fan convention appearances — while his former co-star flourishes as a big Hollywood actor. The web series premieres on Vimeo on September 30.


Doctor Who

The Doctor (Peter Capaldi) and Clara Oswald (Jenna Coleman) are back for season nine of Doctor Who — and this time, they have a mysterious guest star in the form of Game of ThronesMaisie Williams. The long-running family-friendly sci-fi series will return to BBC America on September 19.


The Expanse

Based on the bestselling sci-fi books by Daniel Abraham and Ty Franck, The Expanse takes place 200 years in the future, where the search for a missing woman uncovers a vast conspiracy. The 10-part drama starring Thomas Jane (The Punisher) and Steven Strait (Revenge) will premiere on SyFy in December.


Fear the Walking Dead

It’s the early days of the zombie apocalypse in Robert Kirkman’s Fear the Walking Dead, his Walking Dead spinoff starring Kim Dickens (Friday Night Lights) and Cliff Curtis (Gang Related). The outbreak begins on AMC, Sunday, August 23.


Hannibal

Fans of the recently cancelled Hannibal still have the second half of the third season to look forward to, which introduces the Red Dragon arc from Thomas Harris’ first book. Richard Armitage (from The Hobbit films) will play Francis Dolarhyde.


Heroes Reborn

NBC is bringing Tim Kring‘s popular superhero series back to the small screen this fall with Heroes Reborn — featuring heroes old and new who prove that the most ordinary people can have extraordinary abilities. The first episode premieres Friday, September 24.


Into the Badlands

In an other-worldly land controlled by feudal barons, a ruthless warrior named Sunny (Daniel Wu) and a young boy named M.K. (Aramis Knight) embark on a spiritual journey filled with martial arts thrills. Into the Badlands comes to AMC this November.


The Man in the High Castle

Based on Philip K. Dick’s award-winning novel, and executive produced by Ridley Scott (Blade Runner), The Man in the High Castle depicts what the world might have been like if the Allies had lost World War II. The series launches on Amazon Prime this fall, though the pilot is available for streaming now.


Outcast

In Outcast, based on the comic book by Robert Kirkman (The Walking Dead), Kyle Barnes (Patrick Fugit) is a young man plagued by demonic possession who tries to regain his normal life with the help of Reverend Anderson (Philip Glenister). The 10-episode series will air on Cinemax in 2016.


Sherlock

In the upcoming stand-alone Sherlock Christmas special, Sherlock Holmes (Benedict Cumberbatch) and Dr. Watson (Martin Freeman) solve a mystery in Victorian-era London. The special will air on Christmas in the U.K. and sometime in 2016 in the U.S.


Vikings

“War never ends” in the world of Vikings, which will debut its fourth season on History in 2016. See what’s in store for brothers Ragnar (Travis Fimmel) and Rollo (Clive Standen) after their dark ending of season three.


The Walking Dead

The Walking Dead returns to AMC for its sixth season on Sunday, October 10, with a supersized 90-minute episode. New cast members include Merritt Wever (Nurse Jackie) and Ethan Embry (Grace and Frankie).
