Happy Valentine’s Day! As many of you prepare to wow your better halves with fantastic displays of affection, you may also be looking for a snuggle-worthy romantic comedy to watch. With that in mind, we here at Rotten Tomatoes decided to poll our audience to see who everyone thought should be considered the Queen of Rom-Coms. We put together a list of 25 leading ladies from romantic comedies and asked you to vote one of them to the top, and the winner is… Julia Roberts!

The usual suspects garnered the most votes, with Drew Barrymore, Jennifer Aniston, and Sandra Bullock pulling in respectable tallies ranging from 7% to 10% of the vote. In the end, however, it came down to the wire, as two actresses who ruled the genre during the 1980s and 1990s nearly tied for the top spot: Meg Ryan, star of When Harry Met SallyFrench Kiss, and a trio of comedies with Tom Hanks, including the iconic Sleepless in Seattle; and Julia Roberts, star of Pretty WomanMy Best Friend’s WeddingRunaway Bride, and Notting Hill. Ryan earned 20% of the vote, but it was Roberts who came away with the crown with 21%. See below for the full results of the poll, and click the link below to see who was crowned the King of the Rom-Coms.
