Greg Dean Schmitz

Greg Dean Schmitz is a Wisconsin native best known for creating the website in 1997 as one of the most popular early online sources for finding information and opinions about movies (often many years) before they were released. In 2002, Schmitz moved his site to Yahoo! Movies as Greg's Previews of Upcoming Movies. In the mid 2000s, Schmitz experienced health problems, which led to Greg's Previews shutting down in 2007. Schmitz rebounded in early 2008 by taking over the Weekly Ketchup at Rotten Tomatoes, which he continues to publish each Friday afternoon. Schmitz has also in the past been a contributing columnist for Fandango, was a founding member of the Online Film Critics Society, has appeared on The Howard Stern Show, filmed a pilot for MGM Television, and has been quoted in many major publications.
