When I was a kid I just loved Steve Martin‘s movies. AND all of the "Pink Panther" sequels. But when you squish ’em both together into one package, meh. Aside from a few stray chuckles, Mr. Martin’s "Panther" revisit was pretty much all wet. Ah, but it did make some money, so get ready for, yep, yet another sequel to yet another remake.

From the Hollywood Reporter: "Sony Pictures and MGM are moving forward with a sequel to this year’s ‘The Pink Panther,’ hiring newcomers Scott Neustadter and Michael M. Weber to write it … The plot for the ‘Panther’ sequel is being kept under wraps, though it has been described as high concept. Robert Simonds returns as the producer, while Steve Martin is on board to reprise his role as Inspector Jacques Clouseau."
